Quinta do Coa is the newest project from the Roboredo Madeira family, established in the Douro since the 17th Century.       
Both Coa’s are made from the traditional Douro varietals:  Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Roriz        
The Coa style is classy and modern, exhibiting classic Douro style with dark ripe fruit, full body and soft tannins.      
First year vine production 1966, first Coa wines 1999, made at the CARM estate in Almendra, Douro Superior.

found to be similar to Bordeaux and therefore Cabernet Sauvignon was the first varietal to be planted and 250 cases       
were produced in 1973.  From there,  Moss Wood has gone on to receive numerous prestigious awards and accolades.      
In 1991 it achieved “Exceptional” ranking in ‘Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine’–one of only eleven to achieve this.
